Terry's pics show the Brighton coach rally on a dull wet day on the south coast. His coup of the show was a pic of the biggest vehicle ever to be exhibited at the British Coach Rally, a 102-seat Volvo B9TL being shown by East Lancs. Built for Roadliner of Poole, the B9TL has high-backed seats, most of them with three-point belts, soft trim in the interior, CCTV, DVD player and satellite navigation. The 12.8m-long tri-axle coach Ð named the Roadlyner by East Lancs - achieves its high capacity with conventional two-plus-two seating. I recall the halcyon days of Southdowns and Glenton et al but todays beasts, much as I admire them, leave me baffled. Don't ask Terry either. He just took the pics! |
